I Caught A Fish!

I caught a fish!

No correction, I caught TWO fish!

Now this may not seem like a big deal to all of you, some of you may even catch fish all of the time. However, to me, this was pretty big! When I was younger I would go fishing with my grandparents all of the time, but I haven’t been in YEARS. When the coronavirus hit, my family got a bit stir-crazy, and decided the best way to get out of the house, would be to go fishing. So the last three weekends we have gone fishing. The first two weekends, we had very little luck. I feel like my. mom would like me to point out, that she indeed skunked us. She was the only success, up until this past weekend.

Not only did I catch one fish, but I caught TWO! Every step of the process I did all by myself, even taking the fish off of the hook! I am extremely proud of myself, and all of the waiting was completely worth it.

I could have easily decided that because I hadn’t caught anything, I would give up. But I didn’t, and the payoff was more than worth it. I think that this is a lesson we all could learn. Sometimes things are hard, or frustrating, or take a long time. Sometimes you will get bored, or not want to continue on. But that doesn’t mean you should give up. Good things take time, and if you wait it out, you will be so happy that you did. Now go figure out what it is that you want in life, and commit to waiting it out, no matter how long it takes. Also, YOU HAVE TO WORK FOR IT! For two whole days I was continuously casting my line, and reeling it back in. I was working for that fish, I was working for that win. You cant simply sit back and hope that you will catch a fish, when you haven’t even put your hook in the water. Work hard, wait patiently, and achieve your dreams.

Thank you so much for reading this post, I hope you enjoyed it and you got some good insight out of it! We would love to hear from you, leave us a comment below and tell us about something that was worth the wait in your life. We will talk to you next time!

Much Love,
