How do you Inspire?

what is it?  Inspiration is defined in many different ways to different people.  Inspiration to me is something or someone who helps me get off my butt and do something worthwhile.  It could come in the form of many different things like music, a video, a conversation with someone, a quote in a book, you get the picture.  But inspiration is different than inspire. Inspire is what I do to give inspiration to others. Am I inspiring because of my attitude, my outlook on life, how I deal with things?  Or am I really inspiring at all? Have I fallen into the negativity trap?

In these uncertain times It is very easy to fall into the trap of negativity, uncertainty, and even fear.  There is so much turmoil in the world that everywhere you look you are bombarded by the news media, the crazies on Facebook and twitter.  Although social media has become a great thing it has become one of the worst avenues for negativity in our world. So the question is, How do you inspire others, and what inspires you?

There are a few things that I do pretty routinely throughout my day and week.  One of the things I really try and avoid is the national news. I find it to be so draining.  I watch the local news occasionally just so I stay informed to what is going on in our city and state.  The next thing I do is I read uplifting and inspiring books. I find that personal growth is a choice and there is no one that can make me grow other than myself.  So I read, or listen to a book, or podcast almost everyday. Another thing I do is follow many influencers in the world. Influencers and mentors like Darren Hardy, John Maxwell, Zig Ziglar, Tony Robbins and many others.  Most of these people have inspiring and uplifting posts throughout each day. I normally start my mornings off with the couple minute video from Darren Hardy, He always is mentoring me to do things better, or different. It is a great kickstart to my day.

So who will you inspire today?  Get up, get ready and inspire yourself first.  Then go online, call someone and give them some encouragement, some inspiration, some confidence that things are going to be fine and we will come out of this crisis together.  The time is now. You can do it.

So here is a little inspiration from me to you today.

We are all in this together.  Let’s be mindful of others and be kind.
