With the new year right around the corner, people are making plans and goals for change in their lives. In my opinion, the best way to change your life is to start reading. If you are a long time reader, or if you haven’t picked up a book since high school, these are some of my favorites that you absolutely should be reading in 2020.
Everything Is Figureoutable - Marie Forleo
When I tell you that I anxiously waited for over a year to read this book, I am being completely serious. Sometime in 2018 I was watching an episode of Marie TV and she mentioned something about writing a book. Now let me tell you, when she said this, I got up out of my chair and physically jumped in the air and squealed. The day it came out I picked it up and completely devoured it. This is my #1 read of 2019 and it is a MUST for you in 2020.

High Performance Habits - Brendon Burchard
If you want a great read that will give you a plethora of actionable steps to take in order to change your habits and ultimately transform you life and your success, this is your book. After reading this book you will want to go on a Brendon Burchard binge and watch and listen to all his videos and podcasts as well as read all of his books! He is so knowledgeable on the subject and he makes it really easy for you to follow his steps and see a change! This book is a must for changing your life in the new year!
The Miracle Morning - Hal Elrod
This book is great for people who need more time to be productive in the mornings. Especially for late risers who want to change their ways. It gives you the life S.A.V.E.R.S. to transform your mornings and your life. It completely transformed the way I think about mornings, and it has made a huge difference in the way I spend my mornings.
This book is also a fast and easy read, which is a great place to start for people who don’t consider themselves to be ‘readers.’
Atomic Habits - James Clear
With a new year, comes people trying to form new habits. This book has a clear and simple guideline to follow in order to create habits that will stick. He also shows us how to habit stack and create habit triggers in order to make the habits even more automatic. This is a great book to read at the beginning of the year to get the rest of the year moving.
This book can be used in your real life in all sorts of categories and will make a huge difference when you apply the principles talked about! I loved this book this year and I think you will too!
Extreme Ownership - Jocko Willink and Leif Babin
Jocko Willink and Leif Babin are two U.S. Navy Seals that went through some intense situations in the Navy. When they got home they started a company to teach business owners to have the same strength, leadership, and intensity as Navy Seals.
This book will teach you how to implement the leadership practices shared into a variety of different groups from families to companies and teams. Their number one objective is to teach you to lead and win!
I want to challenge you to make 2020 a year of change. Whether that be a career change, a health change, or a personal developmental change. It is time for us to take control of our lives. What are you waiting for?
